Coastal Surveillance Radar System

A solid-state X-band coastal surveillance radar built for persistent maritime domain awareness along harbours, ports, offshore assets and extended coastlines. Doppler processing and adaptive sea-clutter rejection sustain detection of small, low-RCS craft in high sea states, while automatic track generation feeds directly into the Integrated C2 platform for EO/IR cueing and coordinated response.

Port protection

Non-cooperative approach to a harbour

A commercial port needed to distinguish routine AIS-reporting traffic from small craft approaching the restricted basin without transponders.

Radar tracks were correlated against AIS in real time, flagging dark contacts automatically and slewing EO/IR to each one for identification before it reached the inner zone.

Gap-free cover across a sector

A coastal sector spanning tens of kilometres could not be covered by a single site, and separate radars produced fragmented pictures.

Networked radar heads were chained into one fused C2 picture with continuous handover between sites, holding tracks across the full sector in sea state 4.
